“Our children have digital limbs. We cannot amputate them at the front door.” – Brendan Murphy
In the statement of Brendan Murphy - “Our children have digital limbs. We cannot amputate them at the front door.”
For me, it means that we cannot remove in our children what they've learned. It depends upon of the children if they want to erase or remove their memories or the knowledge that they've learned.
In this generation we cannot stop children to learn more and explore their world. Children love adventures even though it is positive or negative. Children have their own vision in their life that no one can amputate it at the first place. It means that the mind of our children is expandable.
We allow our children to use different technology and they've learned to take place anytime. Perhaps they use it all the time. They used it anywhere and everywhere.
For me, its not all about children mind or thinking skills but also how they work with. There senses are one of their digital limbs and we cannot amputate it.
Teachers or parents are no longer experts who fill the heads of their children/ students with very specific, one size fits all information, but are life-long learners and facilitators of learning. It's no longer about making learning happen, it's about letting it happen.Students work with their teachers, peers, parents, and other professionals, locally and/or globally to learn and solve interesting problems.
Let our children to create or do something good. Always remember that we are always here to guide and teach them good and right things.
